Messages
In this article:
Overview
Messages in cards are a great way to collaborate with other KanBo users. They’re perfect for short conversations about card content. Use them to let your colleagues know about the latest news or ask for help.
Messages are part of the card activity stream.
Each card has a Messages section on the right side. Anyone who uses the space can leave a message. Your messages will be highlighted in blue.
You can see if your colleagues are replying to your message in KanBo. The typing indicator shows you who is writing in the message box.
Use card presence indicators to track who has seen your message.
You can edit your message for five minutes after you post it. Otherwise, it could have a bad effect on the organization. In KanBo, we believe you should correct the past by writing another message.
Messages are card actions. Only users who follow the card will be notified of new messages. To notify a specific user who isn’t a card follower, use mentions.
You can save messages that are important to you using bookmarks.
Messages in cards allow you to communicate even with people who do not use KanBo. This is made possible by the ability to send card messages as emails. The message from the person who replies to the email will go directly to the card as a new message.
See how to send a card message in the form of an email.
