A global card blocker is a type of card blocker that can be generally available in every space. Their usage can be monitored from a higher level. If you decide to use a local blocker instead, only the space users will know about it.
There are two types of global card blockers:
Global – generally available at every space, use it for general issues
On-demand – available only when added to the space by space owners, use it for more specific issues
The point of these blockers is that you can monitor their usage in all spaces at once. Use counter tells you the number of cards blocked by the specific blocker. You can click on the counter to see all the cards that are using this blocker at the moment.
An on-demand card blocker is a global type of card blocker but is only available to space users when added to the space by a space owner. See how to add an on-demand card blocker to the space.
Creating global card blockers
You need the Global Settings role to create global card blockers.
Open KanBo.
On the Sidebar, go to Settings > Blocker types.
On the global or on-demand card blocker field, select + Add.
Enter the name and optionally description, and then select Add.
Add a description so that users have no doubt in which cases they should use the blocker.
Any global card blockers you create will be visible to all space users. On-demand blockers will only be visible in the space after they have been added by space owners.
Only space owners can create local card blockers in spaces. They can also add on-demand blockers to the space by selecting them from global card blockers.
