Downloading and Uploading Space Templates

You need the Templates role to be able to perform these steps.

Downloading a space template

You can save a space template as a .kbt (KanBo space template) file. You can use this file to upload the space template to any other KanBo environment.

To download the space template:

  1. Open the KanBo navigation panel.
  2. Click Spaces.
  3. Select Space templates.
  4. Click on more (the three-dot menu) on the selected space tile.
  5. Select Download template from the drop-down menu.

You can make this action directly from the space too. 

  1. Enter the space.
  2. Click on More (the three-dot menu button) on the top bar next to the space’s name.
  3. Select Download template from the drop-down menu.

You can also download a normal space as a space template. Use this option if you want to move the space to another KanBo environment.

Uploading a space template

To upload the space template:

  1. Open the KanBo navigation panel.
  2. Click Spaces.
  3. Select Space templates.
  4. Click + Add space template.
  5. Choose Add space template from the file.
  6. Select .kbt file.
  7. Set the details and click Add.

Now you can create a new space using this space template. A newly created space will have the same structure as the template, using the following rules:
