Leave Time Types
In this article:
Overview
The leave time type is a kind of label that indicates the reason for the employee’s unavailability on a particular day. Each type has a field for additional description. Customize them to meet the needs of your organization.
The leave time type is a general feature defined for Resource Management that is not assigned to a specific subsidiary. All defined leave time types can be used by resources throughout KanBo.
Example: Examples of basic leave time types.
Example: Leaves of Zacharias Plant employee.
After entering the leave time type for the resource, you can see its unavailability on this date. Leave days are marked with an
. Official holidays and other non-working days are marked in the same way.
Example: Zachariah has a declared unavailability from Monday to Friday.
Adding leaves to resources
You need the Human/Non-Human Resource Manager role, and be the subsidiary manager to add leave time types to the subsidiary resources.
To add a leave to a resource:
- On the Sidebar, select
Resource Management. - Go to Basedata settings.
- From the menu on the left, select Resources.
- On the selected resource, go to
Details. - On the Leaves section, select + Add new leave.
- Select the leave time type.
- Select the start and end dates.
- Add a description (optional).
- Confirm using the Add button.
- Select Save to complete the resource edition.
Adding leave time types
You need the Basedata Administrator role to create leave time types.
To add a leave time type:
- On the Sidebar, select
Resource Management. - Go to Basedata settings.
- From the menu on the left, select Leave time types.
- Select + Add new leave time type.
- Enter the name.
- Add a description (optional).
- Confirm using the Add leave time type button.
Editing leave time types
You need the Basedata Administrator role to edit leave time types.
You can edit the leave time types at any time.
To edit a leave time type:
- On the Sidebar, select
Resource Management. - Go to Basedata settings.
- From the menu on the left, select Leave Time Types.
- On the selected leave time type, go to
Details. - Make changes.
- Confirm using the Save button.
Deleting leave time types
You need the Basedata Administrator role to delete leave time types.
To delete a leave time type:
- On the Sidebar, select
Resource Management. - Go to Basedata settings.
- From the menu on the left, select Leave Time Types.
- On the selected leave time type, go to
Delete.

First, you need the Basedata Administrator role.
To change the official holiday for a location:
- On the Sidebar, select
Resource Management. - Go to Basedata settings.
- From the menu on the left, select Locations.
- On the selected subsidiary, go to
Details. - Go to the Official holidays, and then select a specific position.
- Confirm with the Save button.
