Teams
This feature is currently in the beta testing phase and is only available to a limited number of users.
In this article:
Overview
Team is a collection of resources that is treated as a separate resource. We can allocate it in the same way as other resources. A team consists of a resource and a leader who is responsible for it. Team can be assigned planned roles and skills.
Similarly to other resources, we assign a organizational unit, location, and work schedule to the team. A unique option is availability. We can choose whether or not to consider the availability of the resources included in the team.
Creating teams
You need the Human/Physical Resource Manager role, and be the organizational unit manager to add leave time types to create a team.
To create a team:
- On the Sidebar, select
Resource Management. - Go to Basedata.
- From the menu on the left, select Teams.
- Select + Create new team.
- Enter the name and select color.
- Select the organizational unit. Keep in mind that a different set of resources is assigned to each organizational unit.
- Select the location and work schedule.
- Select the start date and the leader (mandatory fields).
- You can manage the availability of a team according to the percentage availability of its resources. Check Always available or specify when you want the team to stop being available.
- To add resources, in Resources tab, select + Add new resource.
- Add planned roles and skills.
- Confirm using the Create team button.
Editing teams
You need the Human/Physical Resource Manager role, and be the organizational unit manager to add leave time types to edit a team.
You cannot change the organizational unit once it has been assigned to the team.
To edit a team:
- On the Sidebar, select
Resource Management. - Go to Basedata.
- From the menu on the left, select Teams.
- On the selected team, go to
Edit. - Make changes.
- Confirm using the Save button.
Deleting teams
You need the Human/Physical Resource Manager role, and be the organizational unit manager to add leave time types to delete a team.
To delete a team:
- On the Sidebar, select
Resource Management. - Go to Basedata.
- From the menu on the left, select Teams.
- On the selected team, go to
Delete.
