Card Grouping in the Timeline View

Overview

In the Timeline view, you can group cards in any way you like. It’s not just about organizing the cards for better clarity, it’s also about additional actions that can be performed in the Timeline view.

To organize the view, you can group your cards by:

Adding new groupings

Only space owners can create new groupings.

You can add a new grouping using the Timeline view. It works when cards are grouped by status or custom fields (list, labels).

To add a new grouping:

  1. Select the desired grouping type using the display settings.
  2. Above the chart, select + Add new group.
  3. Enter the name, select other details, and then confirm with the Add button.

Moving cards between groupings

By moving cards vertically, you can change their groupings. For example, use the Timeline view to update the progress of the work and change card statuses.

To change the grouping:

  1. Select the desired card grouping way using display settings.
  2. Drag a card and move it to another grouping field.

Move more cards at once. Try multiselection with the Ctrl key pressed, then use drag and drop to change their location. Remember to deselect cards at the end.

  2. Use drag and drop to change their location.
  3. Remember to deselect cards at the end using the Unselect button above the chart.
