Search Sorting

This post is also available in: Deutsch

Search sorting is the way the KanBo Search results are ordered. You can sort search results by several options:

  • relevancy
  • oldest
  • newest
  • due/start date

Search sorting options

1. Relevancy

The results of the search are based on the user’s identity. Therefore, different users may get different outcomes for the same query

Aspects considered while displaying search results:

  • assigned members
  • card blockers
  • creation date
  • connection with My Space
  • date of your last interaction or visit

2. Oldest

Search results are listed per their creation date. The oldest will appear at the top of the list. It applies to comments, spaces, and workspaces.

3. Newest

The results are listed by the date of the last actions. The newest will appear at the top of the list. It applies to comments, spaces, and workspaces.

4. Due/start date

This option works for cards only. You can sort cards by their time dependencies.

Note the difference between ASC and DESC phrases:

  • ASC – ascending sort
  • DESC – descending sort
