Downloading and Uploading Board Templates
You need the Templates role to be able to perform these steps.
Downloading a board template
You can save a board template as a file .kbt (KanBo Boards Template). With this file you are able to upload the board template on any other KanBo environment.
In order to download the board template:
- Open KanBo navigation pane.
- Select
Boards.
- Select Board templates.
- Press more (three dots) on selected board’s tile.
- Select
Download template.
You can make this action directly from the board too.
- Enter the board.
- Press more button (three dots) on the top bar next to the board’s name.
- Select
Download template.
You can also download normal board as a board template. Use this option when you want to move the board to different KanBo environment.
Uploading a board template
In order to upload the board template:
- Open KanBo navigation pane.
- Select
Boards.
- Select Board templates.
- Press + Add board template.
- Choose Add board template from file.
- Select .kbt file.
- Set the details and press Add.
Now you can create new a board using this board template. A freshly created board will have the same structure as the template, using the following rules:
- features that will be copied:
- list‘s positions, names, roles and colors
- documents (optional)
- archived cards
- labels
- card statuses
- card relations (card relations between boards will not be copied)
- features that will not be copied:
