In this article:
Overview
All activities that happen in KanBo are recorded in the form of the activity stream, but you decide which ones you want to be notified about. Thanks to the system of following individual cards, you can select what interests you at the moment and reject what is irrelevant to your workflow.
By following a card, you will receive instant notifications of all card activities. This solution enables synchronous communication between users.

Following cards
To follow a card:
- Open the space.
- Open the card you want to follow.
- On the card top bar, go to More (the three-dot menu), and then select
Follow.
The eye icon appears next to the card name.

Use Quick Actions to follow cards without entering them, or Mass Actions to follow more cards at once.
Card followers
You can see who is following each card.
To see card followers:
- Open the card.
- Select the
two-eyes icon in the Card users section.

Unfollowing cards
To unfollow a card:
- Open the space.
- Open the card you want to follow.
- On the card top bar, go to More (the three-dot menu), and then select
Unfollow.
Another option is to select the blue eye icon on the card top bar, and then select

To stop receiving notifications for a specific card while still following the entire space in KanBo, click on the card menu and select
How can I know if someone is present at the card?
If someone is present on the card at the same moment as you, the blue flashing ring around that user’s avatar will appear. This is the card presence indicator, and you can see it in the card activity stream.
Can I be notified of everything that is happening at the card?
Yes. To be notified of card activities, you need to follow the card.
Can I follow the card that I am not a member of?
Yes, you don’t have to be a card user to follow the card.
