Adding Cards to MySpace
MySpace is the new name for the MyBoard.
Welcome to the KanBo 3.0 release!
In this article:
Overview
Here you can learn how to add cards to MySpace as mirror cards. If you want to create a private card in MySpace, see how to create a card.
You can set the card adding rules to MySpace. Cards in which you are assigned as a responsible person or co-worker can automatically appear in MySpace. If these settings were not active before, you can manually add all existing cards that meet these rules. If you prefer, you can limit the number of cards by selecting specific spaces that you are interested in.
You can also manually add individual existing cards to MySpace. In this case, you can add any card you want, even if you are not a card member.
Adding a single card to MySpace
I. From the card level:
- Open the card.
- On the top bar of the card, go to More (the three-dot menu), and then select
Mirror this card. - Type your name, and then select your MySpace.
- Select Add mirror.
II. From the MySpace level:
- Open the MySpace.
- On the custom field, you want to place the card, select the + button.
- Go to the Search for card tab, enter the query, select the card, and then confirm with the Add mirror button.
III. You can also mirror a card with the Quick Actions menu on the card front:
- On the card front, select the card status icon, go to More, and then select
Add to MySpace.
Automatic card adding rules
Decide if you want cards to be automatically added to MySpace when you are the responsible person or a co-worker of a card.
- Open MySpace.
- On the top space bar, go to More (the three-dot menu button), then select
Settings >
Card adding rules. - Enable preferred option.
Setting target list for cards
Set the default list for newly added cards. It will appear in the added card as a new custom field, but will only be visible to you and the people you share your MySpace with.
To set the target list for cards in MySpace:
- Open MySpace.
- On the top space bar, go to More (the three-dot menu button), then select
Settings >
Card adding rules. - Go to Target custom field, and select the desired custom field.
Make sure your filter settings or display settings in the default MySpace view don't hide new cards, so you can always see your incoming work.
You can have multiple MySpace views. If you have more than one, the first one on the list becomes the default view and is the one that is always opened first when you enter MySpace.
Adding cards to MySpace manually
The above rules will take effect upon the change. If you want existing cards in which you are a responsible person or co-worker to appear in MySpace, you can add them manually. If you prefer, you can limit the number of cards by selecting specific spaces that you are interested in.
To add cards to MySpace manually:
- Open MySpace.
- On the top space bar, go to More (the three-dot menu button), then select
Settings >
Card adding rules. - Enable cards where you are the responsible person, co-worker, or both.
- Select preferred spaces, or leave the default option – all spaces.
- Select + Add cards from selected spaces.
