Downloading and Uploading Space Templates

Overview

You can save a space template as a .kbt (KanBo space template) file. You can use this file to upload the space template to any other KanBo environment.

You can also download a normal space as a space template. Use this option if you want to move the space to another KanBo environment.

Downloading space templates

You need the Templates role to download a space template.

To download a space template:

  1. Open the space template.
  2. On the space top bar, select More.
  3. In the ACTIONS section, select  Download template.
  4. Select if you want to include the space documents, or not.
  5. Select Download.

Example: Space template downloaded as a .kbt file.

Downloading spaces as space templates

You need the Templates role to download a space template.

To download a space as a space template:

  1. Open the space.
  2. On the space top bar, select More.
  3. In the ACTIONS section, select   Download as space template.
  4. Select if you want to include the space documents, or not.
  5. Select Download.

Uploading space templates

You need the Templates role to upload a space template.

You can upload a space template directly to the selected workspace.

To upload the space template:

  1. On the Sidebar, select  Workspaces & Spaces.
  2. Select the workspace to open it.
  3. In the Space templates section, select the + icon, and then select Upload space template.
  4. Select the .kbt file, and select Open.
  5. Configure a space template using the creation wizard.
