Scheduling Cards with Gantt Chart View
In this article:
Overview
The Gantt Chart view is a time-dependent way to observe project realization. Use this view to adjust the dates on your cards more quickly than usual. You can change the length of time it will take to complete the task, as well as move the entire time frame to a different date.
Rescheduling cards
Rescheduling a card means changing the start date and the due date of the card without changing the card’s duration. In practice, this means moving the card to the right or left along the timeline.
To reschedule a card:
- Drag the card and place it in a different position on the chart

Example: Comparison of rescheduling a single card on a Gantt Chart and several selected cards at once.
Reschedule more cards at once - try multiselection.
To reschedule more cards at once:
- Select cards with the Ctrl key pressed.
- Use drag and drop to change their location.
- Remember to deselect cards at the end using the Unselect button above the chart.
Changing the start or due date
To change the start date:
- Hover over a card, and then drag the left edge of the card and extend or shorten it by moving it to another date.
To change the due date:
- Hover over a card, and then drag the right edge of the card and extend or shorten it by moving it to another date

Example: Changing the start and the due date of cards in the Gantt Chart view.
Note that after moving the start date, the cards swapped places. This happened because the cards are placed on the timeline in chronological order. The earlier the card, the higher it is on the chart.
Adding cards to the chart
Adding a card to a Gantt chart is simply adding a start date and due date.
To add a card to the chart:
- Select the date on the timeline at the level of the card on the left panel.
- Adjust the card start date and due date.

Example: Adding cards to the chart in the Gantt Chart view.
