Overview
ServiceNow is a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) provider offering technical management support to the IT operations of large corporations, including IT service management and help desk functionality.
The integration of KanBo and ServiceNow allows you to automate KanBo actions by creating flows.
Installing KanBo in ServiceNow
To install KanBo:
- Take the XML file with the KanBo and upload it to the Retrieved Update Sets.
Use the import update set from the XML option.
- Open the update set.
- Select Preview Update Set.
- Select Commit Update Set.
- Open the Application Registries section.
- Select KanBo, and then edit the Client ID and Client Secret.
- Paste your instance address in the field Redirect URL in this format https://dev###.service-now.com/oauth_redirect.do.
Contact KanBo support for more details.
- Go to Connection&Credential Aliases.
- Open KanBo, and in Connections, select New.
- Enter the name, in Credential select KanBo, and in Connection URL paste “https://servicenow.authkanbo.com/kanbo/api”.
- Go to Credentials and create a new OAuth 2.0 credential.
- Enter a name and then, in OAuth Entity Profile find KanBo’s default profile.
- Select Submit.
- From the newly created credentials, get the OAuth Token.
- Enter the name of your KanBo instance and select Ok.
You may be asked for your Microsoft 365 credentials at this stage, unless you are already logged in.
- Select Allow to grant access.
You can now run flows with KanBo.
Preparing the flow
To create a flow:
- In Application, select KanBo.
- Select the trigger you want.
- Start adding KanBo actions.
