Overview

It is possible to duplicate existing cards within the space. A copy of a card is added to the same card grouping field as the original card. Than you can move the duplicated card to a different space.

Not every detail will be copied from an old card.

Features that will be copied:

Note, that the document in the copied card is not a copy. It has the same source as the document in the original card.

Features that will not be copied:

Example: The information that the card was copied from another card will be recorded in the card activity stream.

If you don't want to create a new card based on an existing one, but you want an existing card to be present in multiple spaces at once, learn more about mirror cards.

Duplicating cards

To duplicate the card:

  1. Open the card.
  2. On the top bar, select More, and then select Duplicate.
  3. Enter the name of the new card, and then select Duplicate.

Use Quick Actions to get it done faster.

In case you would like your card to serve as a template or a base for other cards, you can create a card template.
