Notification Settings

Notifications are audio and visual alerts that users receive when something happens in KanBo that is relevant to them. There are three notification settings that you can adjust to your current needs. Customize your notification settings to maintain communication hygiene.
In this article:
Notification detail level
You can set one of three notification levels. Choose an option to see only the notifications you want:
- Everything – This level notifies about everything that is related to the following card/status/custom field/space and mentions.
- Relevant – A mix of the most relevant activities, including comments and mentions.
- Comments – Comments from followed cards only and no other activity (including mentions from other cards).
Notification levels are described in detail below.
To change the notification detail level:
- On the Sidebar, select Notifications.
- Go to More (the three-dots menu), and select Settings.
- On the Detail level drop-down menu, select the chosen option.
The detail level will work from the date when you change the settings. It will not work for notifications that you have received before configuration.
Everything
This level shows everything that is an activity in followed space/status/custom field/card:
- creation of a card
- copying a card/space
- adding users to a card/space
- making a user a responsible person or a co-worker in a card
- changing the status of a card
- adding a document to a card/space (if the added document is an image, its thumbnail is displayed below)
- removing a document from a card/space
- archiving and unarchiving a card
- adding, removing, or modifying a card element
- adding, removing, or changing a card date
- adding and removing a to-do list item
- marking a to-do list item as complete/incomplete
- mention users on a to-do list item
- adding, removing, or changing the name of a custom field/card status,
- adding relations to a card
- completing a related card (subcard or previous card)
- adding a comment
- card reminder
- adding a card mirror in a space
- mentions of you
Relevant
This level shows a mix of the most relevant activities in followed space/status/custom field/card:
- creation of a card
- copying a card/space
- adding users to a card/space
- changing the status of a card
- adding a document to a card/space (if the added document is an image, its thumbnail is displayed below)
- removing a document from a card/space
- archiving and unarchiving the card
- adding a subcard
- adding a comment
- card reminder
- mentions of you
Comments
This level looks like a chat.
- adding comments in cards you are following
- mentions of you
Email notifications
If the email notification option is enabled, you will receive an email with information about the number of unread notifications. You can set it to receive an email every:
- 15 minutes,
- 60 minutes,
- 24 hours.
To change the email notification settings:
- On the Sidebar, select Notifications.
- Go to More (the three-dots menu), and select Settings.
- On the Email notifications drop-down menu, select the chosen option.
Remember to add an email address to your user profile.
Notification sound
Decide whether you prefer sound notification or silent mode.
To change the notification sound settings:
- On the Sidebar, select Notifications.
- Go to More (the three-dots menu), and select Settings.
- Use the Notification sound toggle button to turn the sound on or off.

Is it possible to see the exact date and time of an activity?
Yes, it is possible to see the exact date and time of an activity by hovering over the date displayed.
Can I save important activities?
Yes, you can add bookmarks to important actions in the activity stream to save them for future reference.
