User Deactivation

There is an option to deactivate user in case of e.g. termination of cooperation. Remember you can activate this user again any time.

Deactivated users are visible by their striped icon avatar. 

Description of the deactivated user:

  • will not be counted to the amount of KanBo licenses if he has been deactivated from every Board Collection in your KanBo,
  • has no access to a Board Collection where he has been deactivated from,
  • is not visible in Active users list in Board’s User Center,
  • has deactivated status visible on his User profile,
  • when user is an owner of a Board, a person who deactivates him is being added instead of him as an owner,
  • cannot be added to any user group in a Board even if he is a member in this board – the only removal from a board is possible,
  • cannot be added (or drag&dropped) to cards,
  • is visible in all cards to which he is assigned to, but his deactivated status is also visible,
  • cannot be mentioned,
  • deactivated user’s comments and actions remain on cards and Board.

After deactivation of users you can still see their profile with contact information.

Only users with Licenses role can deactivate a user.

Deactivate User

  1. Enter  KanBo Settings.
  1. Select  Users.
  2. Hover over a user and select more button (three dots).
  3. Press on  Deactivate.

Activate previously deactivated user

  1. Enter  KanBo Settings.
  2. Select  Users.
  3. Go to Inactive users.
  4. Hover over a user and select more button (three dots).
  5. Press on Activate.

FAQ

Yes, all actions from deactivated users are visible in card and board activity stream.

Yes, you can reactivate a previously deactivated user.

If a deactivated user was the owner of a board, the person who deactivated them will be added as the owner instead.
